There are so many ways for businesses and community groups to join the BARCStoberfest fun and help us save lives. Below is a list of ways your business, organization, school or community group can get involved, from sponsorships with promotional opportunities to team building through peer-to-peer fundraising. There are so many ways you can partner with BARCS to make the 14th annual BARCStoberfest a lifesaving success!

BARCStoberfest is a great marketing opportunity for your business. This event receives widespread attention from a majority of Baltimore’s broadcast and print media, providing a unique and inexpensive way for you to reach out to the over one million pet owners in the Baltimore/Washington region. More than 3,000 people and their pets will be in attendance to enjoy the BARCStoberfest 5K and one-mile walk-a-thon, a beer garden, food trucks, entertainment and animal activities, including our annual Howl-o-ween Costume Contest. Sponsors can choose to support BARCStoberfest at a variety of levels, with benefits such as your company’s logo on advertising materials and event t-shirts, naming rights to popular festival activities, and post-event newsletter. Sponsors will also be allocated a complimentary 10’ x 10’ space at the festival to promote their business. For sponsorship questions, please email

The “lifesaving” aspect of this incredibly fun day starts with you...and it starts now! Whether it’s your whole office or just your department, creating a BARCStoberfest team is a positive and fun activity that brings people together, and also supports the critical work of animal welfare in our community. Team members are asked to donate or raise at least $40/person, which can be done by simply asking friends and family to give, or through events and other team building activities. Then, on the day of BARCStoberfest, teams (and their pups!) come together to celebrate by participating in the 5K run or one-mile walk, enjoying the live music and libations in the annual beer garden, and joining in on everything else this family-friendly festival has to offer! In just a few easy steps you will be ready to start collecting donations and supporting animals at our shelter. Teams can consist of runners, walkers – and a combination of both!

To make BARCStoberfest a success, we are seeking donations of items and local services (i.e. wine, hotel stays, event tickets, etc) for our annual raffle basket auction and to offer as incentive prizes for runners and fundraisers. To make a donation, please email
